Spring into the Jefferson Public Library for the annual Friends’ spring book sale. The three-day book sale begins Thursday, April 18, and runs through Saturday, April 20. Admission is free and prices generally range from 25¢ to $2. The book sale is held in the library basement during regular hours.
“The spring book sale is a great place to find books for your children and grandchildren to help them practice their reading skills over the summer,” a spokesperson said. “Stock up on books to take on vacation or sit outside on a hot summer afternoon on the deck, at the swimming pool, or inside enjoying the AC.”
Books for all ages will be available, as well as all genres such as mysteries, romance, westerns, science fiction, fantasy, classics, and inspirational fiction with a good selection in both regular and large print. The library withdrew a very large number of children’s books, books for the middle school years, and books for teens.
There will also be a large number of movies on DVD, books on CD, jigsaw puzzles and board games. “You are sure to find one of these to entertain you and your family for the summer months. With great bargains and no due dates, the Friends’ book sale has something for everyone,” the spokesperson said.
“The Friends of the Library book sale is an annual fundraiser for our community library. Through your purchases, you enable our library to offer more resources for everyone to use and enjoy. Thank you for supporting your local library,” the spokesperson concluded.
